KOBASHI CINNAMON LEAF OIL 100% Pure

LATIN NAME: Cinnamomum zeylanicum
SOURCE: Steam distilled from the leaves
COLOUR : clear, light amber
ORIGIN: Sri Lanka
AROMA: Warm spicy characteristic of fresh ground cinnamon

QUALITIES: Widely used as a domestic spice and traditional medicine. Stimulating to the system. Use to encourage appetite and aid digestion. A warming oil for use against muscular aches and pains. This oil should be well diluted if using on the skin. An ideal way to fragrance a room. Blends well with orange and clove. Powerful germ killer making it ideal to vaporize during the winter when many people are suffering from colds and flu. It is also a popular component of toothpaste and candies.

A member of the Lauraceae family, a tropical tree growing up to fifteen metres high with leathery, bright green, scented leaves and small pale yellow/cream flowers, which have an unpleasant aroma. The fruit is fleshy and bluish black. In India crushed ripe fruit is boiled in water, yielding an oil known as cinnamon suet, used in candle making. It is worth noting that three distinct types of essential oil are obtained from the one tree; bark, leaf and root. The bark contains (mainly) cinnamaldehyde, leaf eugenol and the root camphor. Bark and root oils should not be used in Aromatherapy.

GC-MS Analysis Component identification The different components of each oil are identified using the following databases;Comparison of the GC retention time with a retention time library.Comparison of the mass spectrum with the Wiley275.L, Wiley7n.L, and HPCH1607.L mass spectra librarys, containing over 360 000 entries.

RT (retention time) after the oil is injected into GC-MS Analysis column the temperature rises. Chemicals have progressively higher boiling points. The more volitile chemical escapes first. (Chemicals that take less heat to evaporate have faster dispersion-expansion-seperation of molecules).

Thus the RT 13.21 (13min and 21seconds) for alpha Thujene (Chemical formula C10H16, Molar mass 136.23404; Boiling point, 151°C at 760 mmHg.) chemical structure of thujene is more volitile (evaporating rapidly; passing off readily in the form of vapor.) THAN Benzyl benzoate which is less volitile with RT 50.93 (Chemical formula C14H12O2 Molar mass 212.25 g·mol−1). Boiling point 323 °C (613 °F; 596 K)

Stop being afraid of the word Chemical: Everything including You are made up of Chemicals.

Balance in all things is paramount, that means the correct dose or dulution for the desired effect. So it is always best to start off with small moves toward a goal and then increase towards effectiveness.

Many chemicals balance other chemicals. Look up How to Balance Chemical Reactions in Equations.
