Ylang Ylang
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil 100%, Ylang Ylang complete, Ylang Ylang 2, Ylang Ylang 1, Cananga odorata genuina, Steam distilled from the flowers, 100% Pure Essential oil,
Ylang 1, 2, 3 and complete are not an exact science as with any natural product.
It is dependent on the flowers, the time the essential oil is taken off the water and other variables.
It also depends on the sophistication of the fractionator and none can ever be exactly the same.
In theory the lower boiling, more volatile components should be higher in the Ylang 1 and the higher boiling components in ylang 2, but this can vary over the extent of range of each oil. The density will be lower in ylang 1 and higher in ylang 2. The aroma will be finer and have more punch in Ylang 1 and Ylang 2 will be deeper and not as volatile. Complete will be rounder comprising of all the elements.
Ylang complete is a full distillation without taking fractions and thus is my choice as truer to the total flower. Although, when you smell a flower in nature you are smelling more of the most volatile components. You would think that Ylang one would be closer to what it is to stick your nose in the flower. Aroma is dependent to maturity of the flower, temperature, humidity and time of day. Different people have different experience due to their own chemistry.
At the end of the day, they all have a similar chemical structure with more or less of the same components.
I would go for the Ylang complete, some like the more perfumy Ylang 1, but the preference is individual.
