Here we have a special limited quantity of organically grown French lavandin. Cultivated on a small, traditional family farm in Brette, Drôme Provençale, France, this Lavandin is quite special, with beautifully sweet and herbaceous floral notes.
For nearly seven generations, the Reynaud family has lived to the rhythm of the seasons, clinging to the side of the Servelle, the mountain that dominates the village of Brette. In this hamlet, life remains simply linked to the work of the fields and the herds. In July and August comes the Lavandin harvest and distillation all carried out on the farm in the traditional way. It is of most importance to the family that their work is inlign with nature, to preserve the biodiversity and traditions unique to their beautiful region.

KOBASHI LAVADIN OIL 100% Pure Grosso organically grown on small, traditional family farm in Drôme Provençale at the foothills of the French Alps.

LATIN NAME: Lavandula hybrida grosso. (Botanist: Reverchon)
SOURCE Steam distilled, from flowering tips and stem
COLOUR: Clear, yellow
ORIGIN: Brette, France
AROMA: Sweet floral, slightly camphorous

QUALITIES: Lavandin Grosso was developed and introduced in the 1970s by French farmer Pierre Grosso. It is now one of the most widely cultivated of the lavenders.
A cross between true Lavender: lavandula angustifolia: (Botanist: Chaix) and Spike Lavender: lavandula latifolia (Botanist: Vill.) combines characteristics of both. A higher cineole and camphor content make it slightly sharper than true lavender alone, but may give it better respiratory uses. Can be used as an antiseptic. Popular oil for potpourri and soap making. Add a few drops to an Aroma stream, Hot Bowl, Aroma Disc or Stone.

A member of the Lamiaceae family it is an evergreen woody shrub, growing up to one metre. It has narrow gray green leaves and purple, blue flowers on long woody stems. The whole plant is aromatic. Native to the Medeteranian, cultivated worldwide. It favours dry lime soil, but can be grown in most well drained soils.
